This step by step guide to the techniques of fashion drawing will be welcomed by students and all others wishing to develop the fundamental skills required for fashion design.
Patrick John Ireland has chosen to illustrate this book with many examples of his students work, as well as his own watercolours and line drawings. Systematically, he guides the reader through presentation, drawing of the figure, and the use of coloured marked pens. Storyboards, profile boards, sketchbook work and design development sheets are treated in depth, along with useful guidelines for presentation and display of finished illustrations.
Patrick John Ireland is a member of Britain's Chartered Society of Designers. He is a visiting lecturer at Bournemouth College of Art and Design, and Cordwainer's College. He is a freelance fashion designer and illustrator and also the author of several previous books, including Encyclopedia of Fashion Details, Basic Fashion Design Drawing, and Fashion Drawing and Presentation.
