Sidoarjo, Ditjen Vokasi – Pilihan hidup untuk berkarier di bidang kesehatan membuat Jana Tri Perta mempelajari banyak hal, rasa empati, menolong dengan tulus, dan merawat tanpa pamrih. Ia adalah alumnus Lembaga Kursus dan Pelatihan (LKP) Surya Farma Husada, Kediri, Jawa Timur yang kini telah menjadi caregiver profesional.
Ia memutuskan untuk mengikuti kursus mengikuti kursus bidang prakarya kesehatan di tahun 2018. Sudah sejak di seragam putih abu-abu pula lah ia terjun di dunia kesehatan dengan bersekolah di SMK Jurusan Keperawatan.
“Setelah lulus SMK, saya langsung ikut kursus ini dan memfokuskan bidang yang saya tekuni,” ungkap Jana memulai perjalanan kariernya.
5 tahun sudah ia menjadi caregiver dan sudah mendapatkan 12 klien dengan latar belakang yang berbeda-beda. Pada awalnya, setelah kursus ia disalurkan kerja di Jakarta. Kini, ia berada di Sidoarjo dengan merawat klien penyandang demensia.
“Saya pernah mendapatkan pasien di Jakarta, Bali, Pacitan, Malang, Surabaya, Kedir, Bandung, dan sekarang di Sidoarjo,” jelas Jana.
Sesuai dengan tugasnya, Jana sehari-hari merawat pasien di rumah, mulai dari mengecek kesehatan pasien, mendampingi kegiatan pasien, dan merawat pasien sehingga pasien lebih aman dan nyaman.
“Ilmu yang saya dapatkan di SMK dan di LKP membuat saya benar-benar dapat melaksanakan tugas dengan sebaik mungkin,”tutur Jana.
Jana menjelaskan bahwa setiap pagi ia harus mengecek tensi pasien dan memberikan makanan yang bergizi seimbang untuk pasien. Pelajaran mengenai pengecekan tanda-tanda vital dan ilmu tentang gizi membuat ia lebih mudah dalam merawat pasien. Ia pun memahami bagaimana perawatan pasien yang benar sesuai dengan penyakit yang dialami.
Ubah Hidup dengan Kursus Prakarya Kesehatan
Jana bercerita bahwa LKP tempat belajarnya merupakan sekaligus penyalur kerja. Ia merasa jika ia tidak memantapkan hati mengikuti kursus, ia tidak akan berada di titik ini.
Kursus asisten perawat yang ia jalankan selama dua bulan bulan memberikan jalan karier bagi dirinya. Mendapatkan gaji di atas UMR, yaitu sekitar Rp6.5 juta dan juga bonus membuat ia pun dapat membantu ekonomi keluarganya. Dengan begitu, melalui kursus lah, Jana mendapatkan kesuksesan di bidang finansial.
“Saya selalu berikan hasil kerja keras saya untuk keluarga di rumah. Saya percaya rezeki dapat datang dari membahagiakan keluarga,” ujar Jana.
Bertahun-tahun bekerja menjadi caregiver, Jana pun sudah membeli motor, sawah, dan beberapa aset lainnya. Selama menjadi caregiver, ia pun pernah ke luar negeri untuk mengantar pengobatan beberapa pasien. Tak hanya itu, ia pun membayar uang kuliah sendiri dan kini kuliah kelas karyawan di Universitas Terbuka.
“Saya pun ingin berpendidikan tinggi dan membuka bisnis di bidang kesehatan juga,” tutur Jana.
Menurut Jana, tak ada kata terlambat untuk belajar. Teman-teman seangkatannya di SMK sudah lulus kuliah. Akan tetapi, ia baru mulai kuliah setelah satu tahun ia bekerja dengan uang tabungan yang ia kumpulkan dari bekerja sebagai caregiver. Ia merasa bahwa ia tak seberuntung orang lain yang bisa langsung mendapatkan yang diinginkan, ia harus berusaha lebih dan bersabar.
“Menjadi caregiver itu memberikan dampak yang luar biasa bagi hidup saya, yang paling terasa adalah saya selalu mendapatkan motivasi dan inspirasi,” ungkap Jana.
Jana bercerita, 12 pasien yang pernah ia rawat memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda-beda dan perawatannya pun berbeda pula. Baik dari pihak keluarga maupun pasien sendiri, ia kerap kali mendapatkan motivasi, salah satunya ialah untuk bersyukur. Ia mengungkapkan bahwa walaupun banyak orang yang menganggap sepele pekerjaannya, ia justru mendapatkan banyak pelajaran yang berharga.
Tak hanya kursus menjahit, tata boga, barista, dan lain sebagainya, tetapi terdapat pula kursus bidang prakarya kesehatan. Bidang ini meliputi Jurusan Asisten Perawat/Caregiver atau Asisten Apoteker. Salah satu LKP yang menyediakan program pelatihan ini adalah LKP Surya Farma Husada.
Jana adalah salah satu dari 1850 alumni LKP tersebut yang sudah disalurkan kerja. Banyaknya kebutuhan terkait homecare membuat LKP tersebut tak kesulitan untuk menyalurkan alumni bekerja. Ditambah dengan profesionalitas dalam mendidik peserta, membuat LKP yang berdiri tahun 2017 mendapatkan kepercayaan yang tinggi dari masyarakat.
“Di LKP peserta didik kami berikan materi soft skills dan hard skills. Akan tetapi keterampilan dalam komunikasi dan etika itulah yang menjadi poin penting,” ungkap Siti Rusmiati selaku Direktur LKP Surya Farma Husada.
Menurut Siti, menjadi caregiver merupakan merupakan bentuk kasih sayang manusia kepada manusia lain. Caregiver dapat membawa kehangatan dan harapan bagi banyak orang yang membutuhkan, khususnya pasien itu sendiri. Untuk melatih kompetensi siswa seperti itulah LKP yang didirikannya benar-benar memberikan pembelajaran dengan praktik langsung.
“Kami berikan siswa pengalaman bagaimana merawat seseorang melalui pemagangan di rumah sakit atau klinik lainnya,” tutur Siti.
Dengan melaksanakan proyek tersebutlah, peserta didik dapat memahami sesungguhnya seperti apa pekerjaan yang ia jalankan. LKP tersebut pun memiliki program 2 bulan pembelajaran dan langsung disalurkan kerja melalui LKP sendiri maupun dari mitra yang bekerja sama. Kesuksesannya dalam mendidik peserta membuat LKP ini mendapatkan nilai A melalui penilaian kinerja lembaga kursus dan pelatihan (PK-LKP) berbasis dunia kerja tahun 2022 dari Direktorat Kursus dan Pelatihan, Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Vokasi.
